A flexible chamber ensemble performing music written for theatre and dance

The Little Concert Ensemble
takes its name from one of the movements from The Soldier's Tale and was formed by members of the band in the 2016-17 production of She Loves Me at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London. Previously, Paul, Bernie, James and Edward had played together in the critically acclaimed London production of Merrily We Roll Along (Menier Chocolate Factory and Harold Pinter Theatre in the West End), for which the orchestra was nominated for an Olivier Award. The members of the group are all freelance professional musicians, who play an eclectic mix of music, from historical 'period instrument' performances to jazz and pop. They all share a love of the theatre and have collectively played in dozens of West End shows.

The group has performed The Soldier's Tale (Stravinsky/Ramez) in the Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival and at Cranleigh School and future plans include Façade (Walton/Sitwell), along with collaborations with dance companies.
