Edward has many years experience teaching and coaching pupils of all ages and abilities. For twelve years he taught music degree students the trumpet at Roehampton University; he has also taught for several different music services and at a variety of schools in the state and independent sectors.

He currently teaches at Reigate Grammar, Reigate St. Mary's, Box Hill, Cranleigh Prep, Chinthurst and Hurstpierpoint. He has coached and conducted a range of ensembles, including Roehampton University Wind Band, IAPS National Symphony Orchestra trumpet section, Hill House Prep School trumpet ensemble tours to Switzerland and numerous school brass and wind ensembles. He has also run music and trumpet workshops, notably for the Handel House Museum in central London.
